Information We Collect

We collect the information you provide directly:

• Account information: email address, username, and a securely hashed password. If you sign up with Google, we do not see or store your Google password.
• Date of birth, collected once at signup to confirm you meet the minimum age to use the service. It is not shown to other users.
• Content you create: posts, comments, messages, polls, guestbook entries, and profile information such as your bio, display name, and images.

We also process your IP address to limit abusive activity, such as repeated login or signup attempts. It is never shown to other users. In most cases it is not stored long-term, but if automated image moderation flags an upload as a serious violation, the uploader's IP address is added to a block list to prevent further access from that network; this block is not time-limited.

How We Use Your Information

We use this information to operate the service: to display your content to other users, to authenticate you when you log in, to enforce our content policies, to send you a password-reset email if you request one, and to maintain backups for disaster recovery.

Sharing of Information

We do not sell your information. Your data is processed by the reputable third-party infrastructure providers we rely on to host, store, and operate the service (for example, cloud hosting, database, file storage, and email delivery providers). These providers process data only as needed to provide their service to us and maintain their own privacy and security practices.

Data Retention

We maintain automated backups of the database for disaster recovery. If you delete your account, your content is removed from the live site immediately, though a copy may persist in backups for a limited time before it is cycled out.

Children's Privacy

newage is not intended for children under 13. We collect date of birth at signup to enforce this minimum age, and accounts that do not meet it are not permitted to use the service.

Your Rights

At any time, from your account settings, you may:

• Edit your profile information, bio, avatar, and banner
• Change your password
• Permanently delete your account and its content

Cookies

We use cookies necessary to keep you logged in and for basic site functionality. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

Security

Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text, and all traffic is encrypted. We operate automated content moderation and a reporting system to help catch abuse. No service can guarantee perfect security, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
